Shifting from Independence to Interdependence as a Leader

In the Vacation Rental Management industry I have witnessed star performers be promoted to leadership positions, owners who started with one personal second home and built a company with multiple layers as well as family members who have thriving businesses passed down to them. All of these examples included very independent people—a great characteristic, yet not scalable when the focus is productivity, innovation, and agility. The next and highest level is shifting to interdependent. 
Dianne Crampton who founded the TIGERS (Trust, Interdependence, Genuineness, Empathy, Risk and Success) 6 Principles of thriving companies, developed the concepts of what builds interdependence and what breaks it through 30+ years of research. She is an author of the books TIGERS Among Us and Becoming TIGERS. 
As a certified TIGERS consultant and coach, I will speak to these leadership actions and what they look like in companies by deep-diving into what builds interdependence in companies and what breaks it. An example of what breaks interdependence and what I have witnessed to be the most common is when departments of companies create a “we vs them” attitude. I will facilitate roundtable discussions on ways to shift this mindset in companies, bringing in core values and behavioral norms.
Attendees will leave with an understanding of why interdependence is so important, how to build it in their company as well as what is blocking them from having it already. They will learn about behavioral norms and how to implement them in their company to create more cohesiveness throughout.
