This webinar, hosted by the VRMA Government Affairs Committee, is open to all VRMA members.

Members will be given "floor time" to share pertinent policy issues affecting their state or locality, as well as any advocacy successes, failures, and lessons learned. Prior to PointCentral, Nate held the role of Director of Global Business Development at Alarm.com where he led the international go-to-market strategy and expansion of smart home and smart business security solutions into 30+ countries. Nate has a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was also the captain of the men’s soccer team. Nate is originally from the Gulf Coast of Florida and currently resides in Portland, Oregon.

Andrew is the CEO of Safely, which makes short-term home rentals safe through analytics and insurance. Safely has covered over $60 billion of homeowner liability since launching in 2013 and is a graduate of the Techstars Accelerator and Georgia Tech's Advanced Technology Development Company (ATDC) incubator. Andrew served as a founding advisor to Rented.com and TravelPerk, and co-founded HotelUpgrade to help hoteliers identify and attract high margin business travel through guest perks and upgrades.

Before founding Safely, Andrew honed his data science skills as a senior researcher and faculty member at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School where he focused on neuroscience and strategy. He served in a similar research role at The Wharton School.

Andrew’s early career was spent as an analyst at McKinsey & Co., where he specialized in revenue management, distribution, and loyalty programs for the Firm’s Travel Practice.

While an undergrad (and three-time conference champion swim team member) at Emory University, Andrew launched his first business, Project Profile, and was recognized as one of Atlanta’s Top Executives in their 20’s by the Atlanta Business Chronicle

In 2012, Andrew was named among the 35 Young Travel Leaders by Phocuswright, and then won the General Catalyst Innovation Award and runner-up for Best Startup Travel Innovation of the Year at the 2013 Phocuswright Conference. He became a Young Leader Fellow with the National Committee on U.S. – China Relations in 2014. Andrew holds an MBA from The London School of Business, attended The Chinese University of Hong Kong on exchange, and a BBA from Emory University.

Amber is the Head of Insurance Claims at Safely and has been with the company for almost three years, effectively managing our awesome claims and background check processes. She is instrumental in ensuring more than 70% of all claims are paid within three days of submission. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.

Director of Customer Happiness

Amanda is the Director of Customer Happiness at Safely and has been with the company for a little over two years, leading new client onboarding and client initiatives. She is especially proud of her team’s efforts to successfully drive down annual churn to 3% with a trending net revenue retention rate of 130%. Outside of Safely, you may catch a glimpse of Amanda playing a nurse on TV, prepping for her next art show, or on a date with her husband of 16 years.
